As many of you know, I’m officially a bride-to-be. Ahhhhh!

After Parker and I got engaged, one of the first things I wanted to do was assemble my “I do crew” and ask my bridesmaids to stand by me on my special day. I knew I wanted to make the ask special. I also knew I wanted to DIY it. My goal was to gift each girl with something fun, useful, and extra personal to show them how much they mean to me – all without spending a fortune (I do have 7 bridesmaids after all).

Here’s what I did.

The Gifts

Every bridesmaid proposal box included:

All of these came in a set, and each set had a variety of scents and colors that I could match with each girl’s style. I “proposed” to my gals around Christmas time, so I also included personal gifts for each. For some it was stationery goodies, others it was self care treats.

Other ideas for personal touches:

  • Sunglasses

  • Funky patterned nail files

  • Scented candles

  • Reusable water bottles

  • Turkish towels

  • Zodiac pencils (I got mine from Etsy)

  • Photos of the two of you

The Box

I packaged the gifts in foldable paper gift boxes from Amazon. These were great because the paper meant I was able to write a special message on the inside of the lid for each box to make my ask, surprising them when they opened it up! If you aren’t super confident in your lettering abilities (totally get it) you can also try stamping the message with a letter stamp set (I also used this kit to make the stamped keychains).

The wrapping

I love the look of these kraft paper boxes on their own, so I used very minimal wrapping. I opted for natural-colored yarn, a sprig of greenery, the stamped initial keychain, and metallic washi tape to fasten it shut.

And that’s it! That’s how I assembled my DIY bridesmaids proposal boxes to make a special gift for my special gals.
